I am brand new to this software, although I have used Microsoft Money many years ago and this looks similar (though somewhat simplified).
1 / I created the demo data and I also created a new category, Pension, to differentiate from Salary.
By the way, I ended up choosing an Umbrella icon as there was nothing really suitable. Please note I do not like the choice of icons. I would like to see £ and euro symbols at least and I imagine others would like to see their own monetary units too.
2/ I added 2 transactions, 1 debit (in category Food) and 1 credit (in category Pension). These updated correctly in the transaction list.
3/ I then went to the Dashboard to view the pie chart. I could see a pie chart for the outgoings but I would like to have seen the same for a breakdown of income. I may have income from multiple sources eg state and private pensions, income from various shares or interest on savings , or I may run more than one business. There may be other types of income.
I also note I had to select an account to display the pie chart. Would it be possible to see a chart that combines all accounts? I realise that might be difficult but it would give an overall position.
